Abstract
Herpes simplex virus type II in newborns encephalitis has a variable imaging views . It maybe limited to one lobe or multi focal (1).The patient is a 34 days female newborn that was referred with chief complaint of poor feeding , seizure , agitation and torticollis . He was 2980 grams in birth. The delivery was cesarean section (C/S) . The apgar score was normal. Her mother was 29 years-old with history of genital herpes simplex type-II infection in trimester 3 th of pregnancy. The physician started feeding by NG-tube as poor feeding. The orthopedic consultation was done . Finally , The neurologic problems were seen. The brain sonography showed atrophic and cystic changes.
