Abstract

Background and aim: previous studies were discrepancies and don't permit the extrapolation of robust evidence on the actual role of IR methods in improving the result of pregnant women undergoing surgery for PAS disorders. The purpose of this systematic review and meta-analysis was Assess the potential IR in improving the result of women undergoing surgery. Method: MEDLINE, PubMed, Cochrane Library, Embase, ISI, google scholar were used as electronic databases to perform a systematic literature between 2010 to march 2020. A commercially available software program (Endnote X9) was used for electronic title management. Searches were performed with keywords, “Placenta accreta spectrum disorders OR PAS”, “cesarean”,” interventional radiology OR IR”,” women undergoing surgery”, “PAS disorders”. Result: A total of 428 potentially relevant titles and abstracts were found during the electronic and manual search. Finally, a total of seven publications fulfilled the inclusion criteria required for this systematic review. All studies investigated the difference in estimated blood loss between the pregnancies which had IR method before surgery compared to those which did not. The mean of estimated blood loss (MD-0.74, 95 CI.-1.46,-0.01); p<0.005 Conclusion: Endovascular IR methods were related with lower EBL and require for transfusion, compared to those who did not. © 2020, Advanced Scientific Research.
